  The staff at the Boars Head were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I was shown to my room rather than have it pointed out to me, which I thought was a nice touch. I changed room after the first night as I prefer access to a shower as well as a bath; they immediately moved me with no question. In a wonderful,picturesque location,an ideal base for exploring and shopping! Have stayed in many top hotels and the attention to detail in The Boars Head is excellent! On arriving home I realised I had left my phone charger in the hotel room,and after speaking to the receptionist,my charger arrived through the post 2 days later.Excellent service!

  It was convenient for the two places we wanted to visit. We felt that whilst the hotel was basic the receptionist and the catering staff were first class and made our brief visit a good experience.
