  I was very impressed with the Woolpack - it's a really nice village pub with a warm, friendly atmosphere and very good value restaurant-quality food. The room we had (superior double) was huge and had a spare bed folded away in the wardrobe. The place is tastefully decorated and clean and there's a good deal of choice on the breakfast menu. All the staff were great and nothing was to much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good. Loved the ambience of the place and the quiet location.

We especially returned to the dining room evenings as the food was so good & the waiters efficient & charming. The whole hotel has a wonderful ambience & atmosphere conducive to rest & relax. A "fine place, with fine food, & fine service". Thank you for making our stay in the U.K. so special.

  We had a very warm welcome and all the staff were friendly and helpful; room was spacious, clean and functional and the bed was remarkably comfortable; breakfast was exceptional - good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked to order; later than usual check-out time was an added bonus.   The Archangel was easy to find. We reported to reception and were met by a young and enthusiastic lady who welcomed us with a genuine smile. This person took us on a quick tour of the amenities before showing us to our room which was everything the booking site said it was. I even learnt - Loved the whole feel of the place, great hotel layout , staff very friendly . Room no 5 with till top bath really nice , mini bar with soft drinks and real fresh milk for coffee & tea making facilities . The creaky floorboards all added to the olde world atmosphere . Would definitely recommend . Evening meal good and reasonable price & breakfast good with hot & cold options .Very central location . Great place to stay !

  I stayed in the superior kin room with my boyfriend in Oct 2013. This is a fantastic place and we have a great one night stay - Room was very big, clean and well decorated, - Sam and the staff were very polite and helpful (thanks again) - Bed was enormous and exceptionally comfy (best nights sleep in ages), - Location very nice (about 15mins f... was die leute sagen » rom Longleat) and in the countryside so peaceful - Breakfast was lovely and lots to eat and wide choice - Plenty of car parking - Overall it was very - Sam was spot on! Very friendly and made us instantly feel at home. The surrounding area was beautiful and the addition of the farm environment was a really good idea. The morning breakfast was up there with the best I have ever tasted. Sam did a brilliant job even though we asked him to get out of bed at the earliest time! Sorry! We had a brilliant few days and this place topped it off perfectly. We will be back!
