Was die Leute sagen
This b&b is excellent in every way. The Georgian home is most
welcoming, and is as elegantly decorated as it is comfortable. The
breakfast menu is as varied as you would find in the best hotel, and is
beautifully presented by a pleasant staff. I cannot say enough kind
words about Florence, who helped me through a most difficult time. Her
caring and assistance and understanding will never be forgotten. This
will be my "Edinburgh home". alle bewertungen »
The room was well stocked with complimentary bottles of water every
day. A lovely china tea service with a selection of teas and shortbread
cookies as well as chocolates were in the room every day. The soaps and
shampoo were ample and well stocked. The bed, couch and chairs were
very comfortable and the room was large and had beautiful big windows.
It is also situated in a lovely quiet area with access to private
gardens nearby.
Florence, the owner of the B&B is absolutely lovely (also giving great advice on where to eat and what to do), the place very beautiful and the staff very friendly. The room we had was large with beautiful furnishings, a very comfortable bed and included complimentary water, tea and cookies :-). Excellent breakfast, great location! Florence, thank you for a wonderful stay!.
Very comfortable and homely and efficiently run with very friendly and helpful staff. Very nicely decorated and well serviced rooms. A very beautiful residence with generours sized rooms and a beautiful outlook across Moray Place and the park. The breakfast was excellent every day, served in a beautiful Georgian drawing room. We made good friends at A Georgian Residence.
I liked the house, very old and beautiful. Breakfast had a good variety and was shared around a large table which allowed you to meet the other guests. It had a wonderful ambience and Florence is happy to share information abouts it's history and a peek att eh gardens. It is near all the locations worth a visit in the city. Handy for buses.
Florence, the proprietress, is absolutely charming. The rooms are decorated in a manner reminiscent of a long treasured family home - warm, light, and airy. The dining area was extremely attractive with a beautifully set table for breakfast.
Wonderful place to stay. An 18th century residence in a beautiful square close to the centre of Edinburgh. Our room was large and overlooked the square. The breakfast was varied and of high quality. The owner was friendly and gracious.
Everything I experienced at Georgian was one of the most beautiful part of this UK trip! Excellent hotel, very beautiful room decoration and comfortable bed, rich breakfast in the morning, the owner is also very hospitality.
Friendly welcome, lovely enormous clean and well appointed rooms, amazing characterful property. Great breakfast, traditional Scottish options too and all prepared individually.
If you like friendly staff and slightly old-fashioned feel with a chance to see inside one of Edinburgh's magnificent town houses then this may be for you.
everything, large rooms really clean ,great breakfast ,helpful , close to shops yet in a quiet residential area .Would recommend to try this little gem.
The central location, the elegance and quality of the furnishings, the excellent breakfasts, the casual friendly atmosphere and the spacious room.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. The building is unusual and attractive. Breakfast was very good - lovely fruit and bacon.
Clean and spacious suite filled with antiques and close to city centre. Pleasant and friendly owner operator.
Beautiful Georgian building, ideally located for exploring Edinburgh. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Gorgeous building, lovely big room, great breakfasts and a delightful landlady. We had a fabulous time.
its position was fantastic , close to centre of edinburgh
and still felt safe and secluded.
Florence was wonderful and welcoming. She made terrific recomendations for restaurants.
A very comfortable place to stay - we were looked after well. An excellent breakfast.
The room was clean bright and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
Great location. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Very friendly helpful owner and staff will certainly visit again.
Florence, the host, was very friendly and helpful!.
Owner of B andB very helpfull and friendly.
Friendly and helpful owner.
very friendly and helpful.
Big beautiful rooms.
The only small criticism is that it was a somewhat longer walk than I
expected however it may have felt longer because of the rain we had
during our stay. The walk is definitely doable if you are a walker!.
Parking is definitely a problem. Ended up parking about a mile away and cabbing it. Make sure to check what floor you will be staying on. We failed to do this and my husband had a tough time making it up three long flights of stairs. However, the delightful rooms made it well worth the climb for the rest of us.
There's no lift and a lot of stairs to the top floor.
nothing not to like.
Parking was a council created nightmare. The council urgently needs to address this. Minor maintenance items in the room.
The wifi doesn't work on the top floor.
Lack of parking.
No parking.
No lift, most rooms are up 3 flights of well padded stairs.
The parking was a nightmare being unable to purchase a parking ticket for four hours maximum and then having to move my car made us prisoners to the parking meter and Edinburgh council do everything in their power to discourage visitors to their city.
Cant think of any negatives.
The lady insisted on cash payment. No official receipt.
Climbing seemingly endless stairs to our room .
