  Rooms are excellent value for the money and I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of cleanliness. Beds are warm and comfortable. Rooms on the ground floor along corridor behind the front desk seem to be in a quiet position, with no evidence of noise from other areas. The hotel was in an excellent position for ease of getting to Motorpoint Arena, which was just across the r - As we walked in the young lady on the reception was very polite and helpful the position of the hotel was excellent there is no parking but we parked in the st davids centre directly opposite the hotel and were there for 20hrs and it only cost £11 if you dont want to take your car the train station is only a 5 minute walk the room was really nice and facilities were very good already planing another stay at the ibis would reccomend value for money especially as it was only a 2 minute walk into

  Our 3rd floor room was clean, well equipped with towels and toilet sundries. Heating system was excellent and we liked the facility of being able to open the window for extra ventilation. The tea/coffee- making facilities were very good and there was no problem obtaining extra milks etc from the trolley. They gave us interconnecting rooms for us and our 2 grandchildren age 13 and 11 which was ideal. the room was pleasant and clean, it was in an ideal position for the shopping centre and the Mermaid Quay and the Dr Who experience all within easy walking distance. The breakfast was ok the continental part much better than the hot food.Good choice of drinks and proper orange etc. Good value for what we paid.

  We had an amazing stay. The room was lovely, spacious and spotless. We had a very nice breakfast with plenty of choices. The hotel is very well located, just a ten minutes walk away from Cardiff city centre. Lots of restaurants and amenities close by. Cardiff Castle is only five minutes away and it's well worth a visit! We're only sorry that we couldn't stay - The hosts, James and Maria were most hospitable and made us feel welcomed. The room was large, very comfortable and very quiet. The townhouse is a comfortable 20 minute walk through a lovely extensive park adjoining a river to the centre of Cardiff.   Beautiful house, with loads of space, that was perfect for our weekend away. With the sofa bed and camp bed we managed to sleep 10 comfortably. The outside space is fantastic for lounging in the sun. The location is brilliant, with Cardiff city centre around 15 minutes away, and some nice pubs nearby. Tv and remote worked well and all the controls functioned well.Wif-fi is free and worked well too. The lighting in the room was good, and the desk was just large enough to work on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good for just £7.95 all- in.
