We stayed at holiday inn in southend since our flight to Amsterdam was taking off from southend airport. So we ended up staying there for two nights. It was absolutely the right decision. The hotel itself was spotless. It was really clean and well maintained. Best hotel for the price. southend is a nice town for nightlife and clubs. Not so much during the days. The cleanest and neatest place I have ever stayed in! It was lovely! The single room I had was cosy with lovely white covers. The bathroom was modern and spotless. The proprietors were extremely helpful and friendly. A problem that arose was sorted out without any drama. The breakfast was very good with a choice of toasts, jams etc which could be done to your own taste. I asked for a non butter spread which was quickly produced. I would be happy to return and take my family. There was a quiet and professional air about the staff and accommodation which was welcoming and relaxing especially as I was visiting for a difficult family matter.

Letting us in an hour early owing to heavy rain. Fantastic location parking easy. Great English breakfast room facilities 10 out of 10 lovely comfortable bed. Tea coffee making facilities and biscuits too we couldn't have asked for more. TV & internet all provided .Owner's staff so friendly and welcoming we totally loved it. Worth every £ you won't beat it book it!

From the minute we walked in we were struck by the friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was great, nice sea view and we even had a balcony. Can't fault Hanson House at all. Very clean and confortable accommodation. From the moment I arrived Mr Hanson was very welcoming. I stayed there to attend a wedding and Mr Hanson kindly gave me a lift to the venue to save me struggling the walk in my heels. I had a very comfortable sleep and the full english breakfast the following morning was plentiful and delicious. I would definately stay again if ever in that neck of the woods.
