My friend and I and 2 teenage daughters stayed at October half-term. All of us really enjoyed the week. The food was great, the girls liking the pizza bar. The restaurant staff were efficient, food plentiful and varied, and we especially enjoyed the snack bar between meals. The bar staff worked really hard and it was good for us not to keep having to give 2 teenagers money all the time. The situation of the hotel is lovely, with nice walks along the promenade and the beach, and just out of the b - Robert

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. We needed a taxi three time during our stay. The front desk would call the cab and within two minutes we would have a taxi waiting for us! The balcony is very relaxing. The balconies all face the beach. It was especially nice at night. We had a great view of the beach and the swimming pool. The location is outstanding. There is a Pizzeria across the street that is very good. This was one, if not the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in! Everywhere,balconies,rooms,pool area and dining room were spotless and all cleaned thoroughly every day.I do agree with a few people who mentioned the noise from other rooms could be heard,but we were there for 11nights and it was very quiet.The pool area is small but very few people seemed to use it as the beach just opposite (accross quite a busy road)is lovely with sun beds with huge padded cushions for 8 euros for 2+umbrella.We at - Martin

We booked the Fenix as part of a cheap 3 day getaway in August and having read the reviews below were not sure what we were letting oursleves in for. We have been extremely pleasently surprised. The hotel is very very clean, well decorated, airy and bright. The staff have been more than helpful and our room was nicer than allegedly 4* rooms we have had in London and Las Vegas. As all other reviewers stated the location of the hotel was just great. It took appr. 5 minutes on foot to get to the beach promenade. I liked that it was quiet during night time compared to other expensive hotels located right at the beach! Hotel was clean and all of the staff members were extremely nice and helpful. Everybody spoke at least a little English or if they didn't, they'd still try to help you and explain things :) We had a room with 3+1 bed, which was spacious and clean. The in - Ronald

We stayed 3 nights at the Plazamar last weekend for my birthday. We booked one of the cheaper rooms overlooking the square, but were given a sea view room when we checked in. The room was clean and well decorated, with a small kitchenette with kettle & toaster. The balcony was big, and overlooked the promenade and beach. We sat and watched the world go by, many local Spanish out for a walk, and some more energetic ones jogging. Quite a few English, Dutch and Germans as well, as you might e - Spencer

Dont rely on other people's opinions. We found the hotel very clean and the staff very helpful and courteous. The rooms were your usual standard and kept very clean by the staff, towels changed every day and even though we were only there for a week, the sheets were also changed and the room was cleaned. All parts of the hotel were spotless. The meals were very good and there should not have been anybody going hungry although we did find a few British residents complaining because there was a lo - Richard

Excellent value for money. Felt I got more than I paid for. Huge swimming pool. Apartment, which was on the fifth floor, is spacious with large balcony overlooking pool and great sea view. Around are good bars and restaurants. Good security. - Bill
