We go back to this Hotel year after year and so far *touch wood* it's never let us down. At such a competitive price and named a 'hostal', you'd expect the pits, right? That couldn't be further than the truth. For that price you get a typical hotel room with en-suite, a swimming pool, clean towels and cleaning every day AND breakfast! The staff are also very friendly and the service excellent. It's right next to the bus station as well so great if you want to get to some of the stunning beaches - Stuart

Hotel is well positioned on the nice sandy beach, just across San Antony town. Rooms are very clean and well equipped but small, (especially if there is 3 adults in the room). Breakfast is very good, but dinner could be better ( fish was always frozen, and orange as a fresh fruit was usually served instead pineapple or watermelon or any other seasonal fruit which was served every other night). Stuff is very kind and helpful and I would recommend this hotel definitive as a place for peaceful and - David

If you are going to Ibiza - this is the best hostel in san antoni ! best value for the money ! cheap and great ! they have a great air conditioning, great rooms. they clean every day. location is 5 minutes walking from the center. but the best thing is the lovely staff !!! the are always helpfull and nice !!! This hotel is ideal. The location is spot on, just far enough away from the loud music but litrally 5 mins walk to get in among it. Also only about 10 min steady walk to cafe mambo and the sunset. The hotel room was very clean and i think sheets and towels changed every day except sunday. The breakfast was good and had every thing you needed, infact we would make up a sandwich from the rolls, ham and cheese and have this at lunch. Go team tropical!!! Amazing hotel and the club reps are the best :) The hotel was clean,maids cleaned everyday and bedding changed everyday. We had a huge room with a big balcony looking onto the pool! It is so close to all the fun yet not so close that you can't get any peace. Food was ok,breakfast was really good. Dinner time was not bad!! Staff were friendly enough to us..we loveeeeee this hotel and we loveeee Ibiza,deffo going to go back!! Pool area is even really nice,plenty sun beds and b - Richard

We stayed at the reco des sol from 19th until 26th of may there was a buliding site across the road from hotel however there was no work going on at any time whilst we were there. hotel rooms were clean although drains in the bathroom smealt very bad. pool bar did close at 6pm however hotel bar opened at 6pm. if you are not up early do not expect a sunbed as people were reserving sunbeds form about 8am and going down town even when there are notice up stating towels would be removed but the staf - Chris

wat a fantastic hotel!!!!! made our holiday top! the room was clean and air-con great. the view that we had was good but not all frooms had this benifit. the pool was clean and nice but you couldnt rach the bottom after the ramp. the food was good. grat selection and u were able to take it up 2 your room. the staff were nice especially the bar man frank. the only problem was one ov the night time receptionists an older man. in my opinion he shud be sacked. we had a lot ov argument with him and h - Andrew

We stayed at The Galfi early August 2008. It's located just off the main (but not noisy road...similar to a B road really) next to a traffic island, the hotel is separated from the road by about 200m by a field and a couple of houses. Coming home after a night out is a bit dark, off the main road down a quiet street but it wasnt a problem. The closest main bar that you come to is Linekers, literally a 5 minute walk away, the beach is the same, but add a couple of minutes walk to get to the n - Adrian

Well what can you say - nice hotel, very clean, basic rooms- staff are helpful and friendly. Security staff take shouting/jumping in pool/balcony hopping very seriously and issued a few written warnings/fines - they can also evict you and inform the reps. Lovely shop on site that will keep you fully equipped. Found hotel to be a little on expensive side and their food did not agree with me at all. Main pool is very rowdy with groups and the full scale drinkers - so if you get room next to pool y - Nigel
