  Very nice friendly hostal in the great location of Huertas district in the center of Madrid. Everything is walking distance and at the same time there is no noise from the streets.   The best value for the money. During our trip to Spain we stayed at 4 different hotels at the same price range and Hostal Carrera was the best. Excellent location at the very heart of Madrid, walking distance to all major attractions and metro. Very clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and speaks English. I was able to walk to the Hard Rock Cafe' for some American food, but the location offeres many Tapas locations, as well as bakery places for morning coffee/ breakfast. It was lovely to feel that we were in the heart of Madrid. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a warm welcome even though we arrived very late after a delayed flight. Room very comfortable. There was some noise on Friday and Saturday nights from people in the street but no traffic noise.
