  First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport. Second of all, the ratio quality-price was great taking into the consideration that my room was quite modern and I enjoyed the shower with hidromas... was die leute sagen » sage. The room was very clean and quiet. Next, the staff was young, professional, very friendly and with good communication skills (they spoke English - The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

WiFi in room was very welcome and unexpected in a small pension like this one. The hosts, husband and wife, spoke only Spanish but were very friendly and helpful. The decor of this pension is a jump back in time by at least 50 years, if you like that sort of thing (which I did).

  Günstig gelegen und gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. - Das Zimmer war sehr klein und hatte nur Ausblick in einen Innenhof, hat aber allen Anforderungen genügt. Es war sehr sauber + es wurde gut aufgeräumt. Gut finde ich den Steinboden statt Teppich (der Duschvorhang war etwas unpraktisch). Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.
