the hotel canton is excellent value for money,great wee hotel and will recommend it to anybody to use,i will use it again in near future and for any further visits to barca.very close to las ramblas but also far enough away to be away from any noise.the staff are a credit to the owner and helped make our stay very memorable considering barca beat celtic in the game we went over to see
Location. 7-8 mins walk from La Rambla.(That says it all!) Metro, bus, TRAM very near. Hop on/off bus stop very near too Very close to the beach as well. Hotel has lift to carry your heavy luggage.

A very nice hotel in the excellent location. Very close to Rambla and to the port. In the hotel's building there is a beautiful staircase. There is also an elevator - a big plus! This hotel is a pleasant, quiet place.
There are construction works just on the opposite side of the street. But they don't work on weekends :). Experienced problems with wi-fi conneciton on upper floors. But you can always come down to the ground floor and sit on comfy armchairs, where reception is OK.
Location and wonderful staff.At night is very quiet and peaceful.

Perfect location. Super nice and helpfull staff. Travelling alone you felt very safe in this hotel, where the outer doors are locked all day and night. Will definately stay at this hotel next time I am in Barcelona!!

The desk staff was especially accommodating to me in arranging a desirable room with the lowest rates for a split visit around a cruise schedule. Though small, the room was comfortably furnished with efficient, contemporary furniture and a firm bed and mattress. Added attractions were windows with a pleasant view. The basic room and the bathroom were very modern and kept very clean. Its location, near the foot of Las Ramblas is ideal for quality shopping and for browsing the historic Gothic Barrio and the coastal attractions.
I had single room. It was really small, but in good shape. I like it.Good location near to Rambla, and it`s easy to find! Next time I would definitely stay here!!!
The location was gret for us since we needed be not far from port. also close to Rambla, Guelle palace, Columb column etc. Reception works 24/7. we arrived about 2am - there were no any issues. Clean and rather fresh, breakfast is available.
Wi-fi is rather poor in the evening.
Very good location, the room was espacious, and quietness. Beds very comfortable, good bathroom, clean and AC worked really well.

Shower cubicle was a bit small. The flat across the road from my window had a chirping bird. As you can see I'm struggling for negatives.
It was a nice hotel with a great location, very close to both the main shoppingarea and the sea. Lots of restaurants close by as well. The room was simple, but tasteful and clean. The staff was very helpful and made us feel welcome.

Very good location in Barri Gotic, near beaches, restaurants and shopping. OK breakfast for little money. Quiet location -good for sleeping. Fridge in the room!

Very agreeable accommodations. Shower had great water pressure, and I was surprised by the quality of the bathroom in general. My room had a little balcony railing as well from which I was able to hang clothes to dry. The receptionist was quite friendly and offered me thorough advice on the surrounding area. Continental breakfast was great for the money & supervising staff also very friendly.
Great hotel near metro station, seaside and las ramblas, best value for money. Room very clean, good wifi-connection, fridge and safe in the room. Very friendly staff, all of them spoke english quite well. Could move to another room the first evening because electricity broke down in mine, got a new – even bigger – room . Alles bestens! Was presently surprised at how nice the hotel/room was. Very clean and spacious, even had a balcony! Perfect location, only a 2 minute walk to la ramblas. Highly recommended :)
i liked the location, just off las ramblas, staff were excellent, Marek was so helpful and friendly, gave us lots of reccomendations and tips. Would definitely stay there again

Hotel Cantón is a great place in the heart of the old town, just 200 metres from the Ramblas. There's pretty much everything you need: Fridge, Sat-TV, deposit box, great Wi-Fi signal in each floor, 24 hour reception. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel offers world-class value for money. We actually had a balcony even though we booked a room without one. Very recommendable!
There's quite limited space in the rooms. It could be just a rare event, but the lift broke down as soon as we went in with my friend who's in a wheelchair. But they got us out in a minute and managed to get it fixed in couple of hours so that didn't bother us too much. They could use a new iron though, the current one just turned thirty. And preferably a proper ironing board as well, now one has to improvise. Nevertheless, the pros outweigh the cons by far.

Hotel Canton is ideally located for exploring Barcelona. It is close to all public transport links and a few minutes walk from Port Vell and La Rambla. This was our second visit to the hotel and we will return. Special mention for Marek and Max who were both very helpful and friendly.
This hotel had a "good price" comparing to the high prices of Barcelona hotels. It was clean and the staff was very helpfull. Three blocks from Placa Reial, near Metro station.
Hotel is 2 blocks away from Las Ramblas, in a quiet narrow street, but the surrounding area is degraded. Old buildings, dirty streets etc. The room and the bathroom was too small.
The receptionist is really friendly. Breakfast is good with a lot of variety. The lock in the room is really helful I came alone but booked a double room so the receptionist gave me a smaller single room, save a lot of money :) thanks
-There is no lock on the door outside the balcony. - TV is buzzing but I can't understand Spanish so it was ok
location was really close to shopping, metro, restaurants, bus and the beach. Hotel has a lift for luggage and rooms are really clean.
I ended up having to pay for breakfast twice due to paying cash, leaving luggage in storage and coming back to find the cash was not put through the hotel. My advice, get a receipt for everything paid for, and don't assume a friendly face is an honest face like I did.

1. Very small room and especially bathroom looking like corridor 1 m wide 2. Window into 5 sq m courtyyard, quite noisy due to voices and music from other rooms, little light from outside
Hotel reservation not accepted / or canceled, unknown reason. Bathing waters are not Enough hot, and very low water pressure in the morning. Wi fi very slow. We were three days and They did not replace towels. Our room had air conditioner views
It's very conveniunt to traveller to take metro and shopping. It close to La Ramblas and La Boqueria food market.
They didn't fix the window's lock when I check in. It's a bit dangerous to single traveller if he/she don't check the window lock.
