  June was the most friendliest hostess we ever have had! She had beach equipment (chairs, surf board, mask+snorkel, coolers) which we lent to Cape Vidal. On our early birding morning she prepared lunch boxes even for the guide. Breakfast was excellent and it occurred with few other guests around round table where we shared our travel stories. Car wash, tours etc were arranged smoothly as - The owner June went out of her way to ensure we experienced everything St lucia had to offer. She arranged tours, coolers and anything else needed to make our experience something to remember. A wonderful hostess, relaxed atmosphere and lovely breakfast too.

  The manager was excellent and did all she could to make our stay a pleasant one. For the price, the facilities were much better than expected. Our stay was relaxing.   We liked Everything about Lodge Afrique! Tessa, Cindy and the rest of the staff treated us so well we asked if we could move in! We were planning onIy a one night stay but liked it so much we stayed two. I give them 10 out of 10. The rooms are very comfortable and homey! The surrounding garden is serene and relaxing.   We really enjoyed our stay there. Our hosts where just great to talk to. Very friendly and knowlegeable on the area. He greated us with a refreshing drink and took the time to tell us about the area, the good restaurants and what to visit. He provided us with a local maps and great tips for local tours. We stayed in a room with a private entrance and small terrace overlooking the garden. It was a treat to wake each morning to the sounds of birds in the trees and sun filtering through the window.   We had the most amazing idyllic view from our balcony. The inn has seen its better days but it's wonderful still, beautiful gardens not fenced or gated like most other hotels in South Africa.   Afrikaya is so nice, Joyce gives plenty of information about St-Lucia, it is also a good place to stay if you want to do a safari in the Hluwehluwe park. This park is even better than Krugerpark!
