  The backpack was a really comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The common areas were laid back & relaxed and the place was very clean. Location was great & just a short walk from the top of Long Street and some good restaurants. Waterfront was a decent walk or a fairly quick taxi ride. Compared to some friends who were staying at numerous backpackers in and around Long Street, this sounded superior & I would definitel - It was my second time at this hostel and I came back three years later because I liked it. Apart from it being excellent for what is officially a backpackers place I really appreciate the attitude of owners and staff who are supporting community projects and take recycling seriously, something that is still not very wide spread in South Africa. Excellent Sandwiches and breakfast.

The hotel is full of character and beautiful - rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything you could need including bottled water. The breakfast was full of variety and delicious. A very pleasant place to stay, only a quick taxi ride (or reasonable walking distance if so desired) of the V&A waterfront. There are also a number of restaurants/bars closer to the guest house if you didn't want to go further afield every night. I would happily visit again.

  Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die einen absolut zuverlässigen und sicheren Flughafentransfer (fuer 300 Rand) organisieren koennen. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig. Ein ausreichend grosser Kuehlschrank befindet sich im Zimmer. Hervorragender und sehr schneller Waeschereiservice fuer ca. 5 Rand pro Kleidungsstueck. The staff are extremely helpful and there are really nice restaurants and bars nearby and it is very safe in that location. The best part is the location as you are beside waterfront, green point and camps bay which is the best place really to stay. Having your choice of experiencing each location on your doorstep. The staff are very helpful and gave us alot of information on all the best places to go "none tourist places" . The guest - Absolutely everything. From the time we arrived, we were made to feel most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble.   The location was great, close enough to all the activity but not so close that you are woken up or disturbed. The room was clean and the majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very close to the V&A, Long Street (bars), easy to get to the vast array of beautiful beaches, close to Table Mountain, there are lots of lo... was die leute sagen » vely little restaurants and shops. Cape Town itself was incredible! If you like live music, go to the Dubliner on Long Street, Mama Africa has amazing - Clean, comfortable, well kitted out rooms in a great area of Cape Town. Easy walk to the waterfront. Very accommodating given I was unwell during my stay. Free parking right outside. Excellent value for money.
