  Amazing host. Lovely environment. Great value. The place is a little difficult to reach from Flåm without a car, but we just ended up having our Fjord Safari boat drop us in Aurland. Our cells weren't working, so they called the hotel and the owner came and picked us up. It was great.   This place was amazing. While simple in set up it had all we needed! The cabin was on the end and overlooked the water. We could watch the ferry boats come to shore from our window. It was so relaxing. The staff was fabulous, they lent us a hair dryer, and for a small fee we rented our sheets and towels. Their complimentary breakfast was terrific, as was its location, a historic little house a few yards from the hotel. All considered, we thought it was a real bargain.   We had an apartment on the second floor of a four unit building. The small outside deck faced the fjord, which was nice. Free parking. The facility has a restaurant, with very average food and high prices (high prices are typical in Norway). There are two very good grocery stores in the town and we cooked two dinners in our apartment.   The view of this hotel is very good, a great lake view. We rent an apartment, it's spacious. The small balcony is good for chat and drinks to view such a great lake. It's easy accessible to the main pier and the supermarket nearby. Flåm is a small town, we stayed for 3D2N, one day we took bus to Aurland for hiking, it's convenient. It's good. - The view from our deck was amazing, probably better than the view from the hotels that are nearer to the reail station and port. The room was pretty big, and had all the facilities needed to cook and eat. For those who do not cook, there is a bar/restaurant on the basement that offers basic meals at fair prices.
