Great location. Nice staff. Reasonable .
It is THE perfect location in Marrakech, right in the heart of the old souks & close to Gueliz. We could almost walk to everywhere. The rooms are clean & even better than the pictures. The whole mood inside this riad is just meditating to your soul.
Nothing
Very nice staff,close to,the cemtre.
Very clean hotel. The staff was polite.Good location in the heart of Medina. They have aircon, a splendide terrace.
I had an unpleasant experience in my first days when I've got L'Appartment de la favorite, a double room with external bathroom. It was terrible cold after 7 P.M and to walk to the bathroom very late, in the middle of the night create some stress for me.It is impossible to connect the laptop to wifi in this room. They charge 10 euro for the transfer to the station.
Location, Cleaness, Decoration, Service oriented stuff
The food at the restaurant was warmed up in the microven before served. Expensive and limited compared to what Marakesh can offer to the visitor.
--beautiful room --considerate management --great hammam experience --very good meals
Excellent location. Helpful staff. Rooms fine.
I found the staff helpfull The location was good near the main square (5 minute walk) I had an excellent 45 minute body massage for 30DH
I guess this may apply to anywhere in the Medina but there was a mosque opposite the hotel, & the call to prayer at 05:30, I could have done without I think I should have stayed in a hotel with a pool outside the medina with a big pool, as its a hot sweaty city, would have bin good to relax outside the centre
We had a wonderful room at the ground floor, opening onto the patio. The roof terrace is a quiet place that's perfect for relaxing.
Although the hotel is not far from the main square, it's still a bit of a walk to get there (a car or taxi can't come to the hotel itself).
The hotel is well positioned with just a short walk to the markets. The staff were super friendly and very helpful - truly outstanding hospitatility. The rooms were clean and there were lots of areas to sit and soak up the atmosphere. The breakfast was buffet and very nice lots of breads and fruit. Took our travel kettle/teabags and had our fix of a good old english cuppa when necessary the staff even gave us the right adaptor to plug our kettle in our room! Overall just a great experience and very enjoyable stay.
The satellite tv was fixed on the last day. Mostly this was due to our not using it as much and not clearly explaining that it wasn't working properly. Not really an issue as we spent alot of time wandering about taking everything in. One thing to remember is when someone offers to take you somewhere and says its " just around the corner", be ready to walk alot further as it can seem like a never ending trip - especially for two elderly gentlemen!
This stunning riad is 2 minutes from the big square, Jma el Fenaa. It truly is luxurious, beautiful and has so much attention to detail such as personalized robes and towels, fresh flowers and carefully laid petals, which make the stay unforgettable. I would definitely agree with all the positive feedback given and would without question stay here again. Ofcourse, here you will find a warren of alleys, sometimes not as well lit, but completely safe as we were two women, sometimes getting back in after midnight. We found it exciting. We stayed here for two nights after returning from Essouria, arriving at 1am! I called the riad and was greeted by Si Mohammed, who arranged to meet us outside Jama al Fenaa, and helped carry our suitcases back...a 10 minute walk to Zaytoon Qadeem street. Such a gentleman! We originally requested a standard twin room but Si Mohammed upgraded us free to a deluxe suite, which was absolutely breathtaking, so luxurious and spacious. He also gave us tea and informed us of the wifi code and what's more, said we didn't need to fill in any forms until after breakfast, as it was late and said we should relax and rest.... We felt at home and welcome from the start! Breakfast buffet was till 10.30 am but they stayed open till 11am which was kind and flexible of them, especially as they had to prepare lunch too. This was by far the best breakfast we had, compared to two other Riads we stayed at, during this trip. We also had the pleasure of meeting the actual owner Dr Maurice, an exceptionally welcoming and humble man, especially for one so knowledgable and experienced with life. It was interesting to observe how Dr Maurice managed his staff and guests, with sincere interest and how he valued their opinions. Our frequent conversations with him made our stay that little more perfect; and since we were two women travelling alone, he reassured us that we were safe staying at Palais de Princesses.
Nothing really but Wish we stayed here from the start.
Really enjoyed my stay at this Raid, great value for the money.Very clean, staff friendly 10 out of 10. Will defo go back.
location was excellent, reception we received,
breakfast was mediocre
very good location just few minutes from main square Jema Al-Fnaa
maybe nothing
- Excellent location near the square and the souks. - lovely rooms, clean and relaxing - we will definitely come back - a perfect staff, helpful and polite from the managers to the housemade. - Many thanks to Abdellatif, he was always ready to help us. - I highly recommend this hotel
- None
Location was very good though it was difficult to find. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.
Excellent location and staff, free wifi, gr8 terrase... all in all perfect
Should be better marked so it's easily located, especially during night arrivals
Beautifull hotal and top location. Breakfast was ok.
Beds are hard as concrete, and some noise of the AC (even when it,was off).
I loved that the hotel was in the middle of the old Medina city, very convenient. The staff was very helpful and professional.
I was not prepared of how old the building was because I had to climb many stairs.
Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, breakfast was good, room was clean and comfortable. Staff allowed me to stay all day after I checked out as I waited for my flight home. The roof terrace is great for sunbathing.
Great location, especially once you had your bearings. Staff were helpful.
The dinner was lacking in taste and flavour. Avoid Marrakesh when temperatures are 46 degrees. Airport is a very slow ordeal.
The staff was the most attentive and always there for us.
The toilets outside in our particular room.
let me start with location, just perfect 2 mins from Jamaa ELfanaa square, in the heart of the old city, the staff member they are just amazing starting from Abdelatif he welcomed us & he was the only one in morocco who inducted us about the city provided maps for each one, explained everything, also arranged for desert trip for us, he was so helpful and honest man, the place it self & the rooms just amazing we stayed twice there and we had 2 different rooms and both were amazing, the interior, the design, everything, so whenever you hit Marrakesh make sure to check in there
Even though it was not all too easy to find the hotel by ourselves, it is located at the heart of the Medina. It's an Oasis of calm and has nicely decorated rooms with all the amenities you would need! The Hotel staff is friendly and helpful! If I were to go back to marrakech I would book again at this lovely Riad!
big welcome as we arrived cleaness lovely rooms and great location
Room are very clean and comfortable. All the structure is beatiful. Excellent position and staff very kindly.
Lovely Riad with excellent and kind staff willing to help with any questions. Good English speaking staff. Small single room but adequate. Air con a plus. Hammam was a wonderful experience. Massage was amazing after many days of walking during my holiday. Very good breakfast for Moroccan standards. Close to the main square. Taxi from the airport organised prior to arrival. Excellent!
Excellent value for money. Helpful staff. The only proviso not mentioned on the riad's site: the Jmaa-el-Fna square is closed for cars from 1 PM, so though it is just about 100 m from the square, if you come on a taxi with luggage you have to stop at the opposite side of the street.
Great location close to main square yet complete serenity inside riad. Riad is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated througout. Our room was large, bright, had great aircon and a stocked fridge, Perfect for taking time out of city madness. Staff are all lovely and smiley, and manager can organize anything for you with no fuss.
The location undoubtedly. We could visit everything by foot. The staff are very attentive and the room was always cleaned. The mint tea was really great as well.
Nothing to say.
Fantastic location and lovely staff. Beautiful room couldn't ask for more!
Warm service, Comfortable room
Provision of exact location
The location and the staff was great. Very lovely Hotel in a heart of Medina.
The breakfast was the same every day and not enough options ..
Perfect location very close to the Jemaa El Fna but calm at the same time. Friendly and helpful staff. Marrakech is a must see and as a start this Riad is a very good idea!
everything is fine, the stutff there are so helpful, kind, and the location is very close the square, just show the address to the people,it's easy。
The staff were very helpful. Made one feel valued throughout. Mohammed, front desk, went the extra mile.Helped me purchase a sim card to use. He also accompanied me to the pick up point for hot air ballooning at 5.30am. Breakfast was enjoyable enough. I stayed in the Laila Stephanie and had a choice of 3 made up beds. Strange as I travelled alone. The Riad itself was serene though a two minute walk from the souks and the jamee fna square
The access was rather dodgy. One had to go through loads of peddlers of wares. The heckling from them was irritating! Also no direct phone line in the rooms.
Lovely riad, very Moroccan.
Couldn'd get the TV to work. Someone helped me one night but no one round the last night.
The staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure that my visit was comfortable and made all the excursion arrangements for me - all I had to do was tell them what I wanted to do.
I like style of this riad. I can feel like I'm moroccan and live in moroccan house. Breakfast was so good. Staff are friendly and kind.
Wifi doesn't work sometimes. the map of this riad made me confuse but everything was ok i paid to a man and he took me to riad.
Great location, pretty riad.
By spa, I am thinking of the hammam. Perfect place to stay, near to the centre and yet very quiet in the Riad itself. Spotlessly clean throughout and generally everything is kept to a very high standard. I can't speak highly enough of the staff....they were so very very helpful and everything was done with a genuine smile. My husband was ill while we were there (nothing to do with food in the Riad I might add) and had to have a day of medical care. I can't believe the help we got from all of the staff. Suffice to say, it was a traumatic day and the lady chef, not being able to express how concerned she was, came out of the kitchen and put her arms round me. What a lovely gesture.....that said everything with no fuss. I really do recommend this Riad....the rooms are pretty and comfortable, the terraces with sunbeds are kept clean and fresh, and there's a good choice on the breakfast buffet table.
Everything ten points of ten
All was perfect, the people were bery friendly and nice, unication very centered, near the jamal place
Nothing, everithing was perfect
it was so quiet and peaceful after the hectic old town...located near the Square and down some alleys, it felt quite safe and friendly. The staff were all smiles and helpful and the buffet breakfast had all you could possibly want. Love the simple yet beautiful designs of the rooms.
Perhaps the stairs to the roof, as we are retired.
The place was beautiful and located right off the market place. It is not the easiest place to get to or find. This, I believe, is quite typical of riads but I wasn't prepared for the out of the way location. (A bit of walking but not bad). If you want to stay in a really nice riad, this is good. It is very convenient to the marketplace. It has a very nice outdoor lounging area on the roof. Exceptional.
. My only complaint was that I had dinner at the "restaurant" one night. I had to commit that morning and it just was not very good. Too many good places close by to make this mistake. As for Marrakesh, the constant pestering by the locals really got to many. And they attack you about everything; whether it is finding your hotel, picking out a restaurant, looking at a possible purchase, or just buying their delicious orange juice.
Great interior design. Genuine. Breakfast on the roof terrace. Welcoming staff.
Bathroom was not ensuite.
Location, hamam, room
Delay in pick up from airport
The Riad is a safe and very comfortable place to stay that's close to all you need. Everything was perfect as the staff, the riad itself, the location and the food were excellent.
An oasis of calm amid the sensory overload of the Medina and Jemaa el Fna. Beautifully decorated with a Spa facility, an excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Tv in the room and free wifi. Car park near by for £8 per day.
Peacful location but very close to the centre of Marrakech. Comfortable rooms and good shower. Good breakfasts.
