  We stayed at this hotek for two nights. And it was easy to walk there with our backpacks from Kyoto station. I google it then got the map from tourist information at the station and the staff just recomfirmed us how to get there. Only 15 min walk. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even if they have problems communicating in English), the fact that there is a common place with fridge and that you get tea and water for free and even croissants for breakfast, the cleanliness the rooms and how central the location is. We highly recommend this place for people who want to explore Kyoto and surroundings for a few days.

The room was really traditional and lovely. Typical Japanese Inn, in which I really - Some facilities may need renovation but the ryokan itself is very clean and comfortable. In each of our double rooms there was a shower and additionally every evening it was possible to soak and relax in a hot o-furo (public bath). The ryokan is located in the centre of Kyõto, near Higashiyama or Gion, but in a small street so it isn't noisy at all. The little Japanese-style indoor garden is really cute and so Japanese! ;-) The rooms are also very traditional and just a bit old-fashioned.
