  We were very impressed by La Girandola. It is only 3 or 4 minutes from the Fiumicino Airport platform at Roma Termini, which is so convenient. The Hotel is outstandingly clean and nicely decorated. Our room had wifi, a safe and a refrigerator and very comfortable twin beds. Owner spoke only a little English but we muddled through and was part of the experience. Nice spacious room. Excellent double glazed windows meant it was quiet at night even in a busy and noisy area. As soon as we arrived they highlighted and recommended all the great places to visit and also the best ways to get there which was great for us. The facilities were good for the price we paid and the location was spot on - we couldn't have chosen a better place - right next to the Colosseum!

  This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Rome on foot. We didn't use any public transport whilst we were there, venturing as far as the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, the Trastevere area and the Vatican City. The hotel was in a great location where we were able to walk to all attractions. The hotel is on a street where there is plenty of great restaurants and bars to relax in the evening before you head back. The hotel room was large for Europe and the staff was very nice & helpful. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and has 4-5 private rooms. There is an elevator and they provide keys for access to the building.

From the moment I arrived I was welcomed and valued as a resident at the hotel. It was clean and up to date. The rooms were functional but not tiny and enabled a relaxing evening after a long day walking around Rome. The breakfast, continental style was lovely and plenty of it. WiFi was free and it allows for skyping friends and family at home. Altogether a wonderful experience for a city hotel, great value for money.

We walked to lots of major attractions: Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colloseum and Roman Forums were all 15 - 20 minutes easy walk away. My wife and daughters found plenty of shopping nearby, especially on and around Via Nazionale which is 40m f - Nice and cozy rooms with new modern furniture. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, they recommended very good restaurants in Rome and also helped us find some of the locations we wanted to visit. It's a small place, but very clean and with a good vibe, we felt safe and it was a pleasure to come back after a day walking. Breakfast was simple, don't expect more than for a typical 2 stars hotel, but we found it enough for all tastes. The rest of the hotel however was much above 2 stars.
