However, the staff will help you with taking the luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel is situated in a little seedy area near the fish market. However, once you walk pass these 1-2 blocks, you are at the Elephant fountain and the Duomo so the location to the sights is great. There are lots of good seafood restaurants nearby.

  Our stay at B&B al Teatro Massimo was faultless! Our host Serge was extremely helpful, charming and informative. We were given the perfect balance of attention and privacy. The breakfast was perfectly presented, wholesome and varied. Serge was also indespensible to all our requirements. In essence our host completed his ta - A perfect place for staying overnight in Catania city, very close to the bar/restaurant streets and 5-10 minutes walk to the main shopping streets. House and room is very nice and big, in traditional old baroque style with calssic old furnitures and pictures - so feeling is very special - in a positive way. Contact Person is very nice and friendly and helps out for questions about the city and seightseeing! Defenitely can recommend this B&B!!!

  excellent location, near 2 main squares. at the Duomo square you can find 2 types of touristic buses - the standard citysightseeing and the other one cheaper 5 euro (1hour trip without stop). you also can find all main streets having begin at the square Duomo. the landlord is a very friendly woman, she helped me to book an excursion to Etna (must ... was die leute sagen » see! half day was enough for mee; "without jeep" is not very tiring). the breakfast is served in a cafe neighbour to the appartment (croissant\briosh - This BB has a central location [2 min from Piazza Duomo], really close to public transportation [Piazza Alcala] and via Etnea [wich is one of the main streets in Catania]. The BB is clean and comfy. The owners, Giovanni and his mother [who lives next door] are nice people. The palazzo in which the BB is located it's a bit noisy, but this is Sicilly. Overall, I was pleased with the place and I recomend it.

  Very nice staff, absolutely helpful, kind and friendly. The hotel is well-located, very close to the city center (app. 10 minutes walk from Piazza D'uomo), and very close to the fancy bar, Spinella :) On the other hand the rooms are not noisy at all. I can just reccomend Domus Hotel Catania to anyone! - Large, clean rooms, well equipped . The balconies facing Via Etnea are small, but yes, you do see Etna. Very nice staff, both at reception and breakfast. The central location on Via Etnea is convenient; of course it comes with street noise - but the solid window shutters together with the air condition solved our sleeping problems. In short, excellent value for money.
