  Our stay was like a dream come true. We loved the old paintings, spiral stairs, velvet, exposed beams and historical ambiance. The location is amazing--just steps away from Centre Pompidou. Norte Dame is also very near and makes a great nighttime stroll. Also, the staff was incredibly charming, funny and good-natured. - intriguing, almospheric interior. great location, easy to get to to tourist destinations, but close to the marais for socialising. I've stayed here 3 times (twice before it had a refurbishment), and I usually try a new hotel each time I visit Paris, but enjoy staying here. had a room at the front this time with a very Parisian view, and the sound of church bells in the morning.

Very comfortable and somewhat elegant. Superior room definitely worth the extra euros as standard rooms are somewhat tight. I have stayed at each hotel on Ile St. Louis, and definitely prefer this.

  The hotel was wonderful! Very nice room - much larger than we expected. Excellent bathroom - shower and a nice soaking tub for long days walking in Paris. Super comfy bed and very quiet room (I am a very light sleeper and never heard a sound!). But the best part of the hotel was Vincent (sp?) - he was amazing with great suggestions and even was ab... was die leute sagen » le to help us get tickets to the eiffel tower when it was supposedly sold out!! We would most definitely stay there again the next time we are in Pari - Excellent boutique hotel in the most central Paris area! The staff was more than helpfull and kind and they all could speak english, which is a rare thing in France. The hotel was also surprisingly very clean, another rare thing in Paris specifically. The location has also been extremely convenient, everything was on walking distance and we didn't had to get any other transport mean. We will definately choose this hotel again if returning to Paris.

  I booked the Tonic because I liked that it appeared to be in a genuine Parisian style and wasn't disappointed, the rooms had a nice appearance and has retained some of the buildings original features. It even had its own courtyard off my ground floor room. The next morning they helped us tremendously with our car reservation ( which the car company could not find). This was very much appreciated since it was a holiday in France and most places were closed. You can walk to all famous touristic places easily from Louvre to Notre Dame. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was bigger than we expected but clean and tidy with TV-panel on the wall. Reception working 24-7, taxi to airport - no problem. Nice renovated room with new furniture. We'll definetely be back again.
