  Wonderful location -- right on the lake -- and the hotel grounds are really well landscaped. Food is excellent and the staff very attentive and friendly. I especially liked the gym. - Perfect location of the hotel and very friendly staff. Good italian restaurant and good breakfast (which was a bit expensive though for China).

This extended into every detail through the whole hotel, from lobby to hallways and rooms to a level you don't see very often in China, specially not in this price class. Bed was of superb quality. Break fast was nice with a good choice between Chinese and Western food. Also the food from room service was affordable and very tasty. Best thing was the spa, never had such a good massage anywhere in China.

  Nothing bad to say about this hotel. Staff are excellent, as is the Hotel. Its good value for such a high grade hotel and does cater for all types of traveler, with good English spoken by a lot of the staff, plus there are usually some French staff around, if that's your first language. Buffet food caters for more or less every taste and is generally top quality, also not dear, by western standards at least. - The service was outstanding. All staff made me feel very welcome and were really attentive to my needs. Having free wifi throughout the dining and lounging areas of the hotel was really useful. Food was very good, the 50% offer on the evening buffet was an outstanding offer, and the bbq was delicious!

Sam in the Concierge team can speak English and was most helpful, even before our arrival in Hangzhou, by answering all our email queries about tours from Hangzhou to Huangshan (Yellow mountain). Staff is very pleasent. Western options in the jw marriot menu, nice swimming pool. Dont have this weird smell that you feel sometimes due to chinese cuisine. Nice executive room and good options for western breakfast in the 16 floor. Internet in room.
