First was the price - I am a disabled senior who must travel
frequently to Victoria to see my Doctors - I travel with my assistant,
which all adds to the cost. I live on a very fixed income. Without
asking, the front desk upgraded us to a kitchen unit, which was very
kind and appreciated. I also enjoy receiving the morning Times
Colonist. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with extra towels, if
the need arises. I have only to call the front desk, for friendly
service. I only wish they could h

The property has been well developed and is quite remarkable - best seen from the garden behind the front buildings. The "Ghost Town" presents many interesting buildings and attractions.
Neither the adjacent TCH #1 or the CPR rail line were a distraction. Noise was NOT a problem.

Every thing. Easy 5 minutes to train or a nice 1/2hr walk to Downtown. Beautiful walk along the sea wall to Granville Island and it's markets. Shopping and eateries to suit all budgets close at hand.
The staff were superb. From the time we arrived until we checked out they could not have been more courteous or helpful and friendly.

I thought that this was really awesome. I had some troble sleeping at first since I'm not used to sleep in the same room as others, but when I changed for a private one it was so luxurious. Even the honeysmell of the soap. I loved the design and that the kitchen was so fresh. And the bog windows displaying the mountains was such a great deal. -

The location was incredible (right on South Chesterman Beach), the room was beautiful (classic, clean, comfortable and with a wonderful beach view), the home-made breakfasts were abundant and amazing, and the staff (Paula) couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.

The hotel was great - not too fancy but clean and tidy - nice breakfast in the morning and kids had fun on the waterslide - the price was great and allows you to stay again - we will rebook for July! And passed booking information on to our friends and family to stay in July as well! Nice that it is pet freindly although we didnt bring ours it helps a lot of people travelling. The staff (Joan) was very helpful and friendly!

It was pet friendly, had a fridge, had lovely green space, and was a 5 minute drive from the US border and only about 5-10 minutes to the beach. Many restaurants close by and very easy to get onto major roads. Laundry services are also available which really came in handy. -

Being situated right at the Lake it almost felt like an all "inclusive Resort in Mexico" especially due to the perfect hot weather and having several Restaurants to choose from. There was no need for my husband and me to leave the Resort, especially since we only spend 2 nights. And to top the fun, we enjoyed ourselfs at the Casino. -

The owners Gerald and Abbie live in the hostel and take extra care to keep a high standard of comfort, care and extra service. I prefer them over anything more ritzy but where the owner is never on site so you are neglected or just a number.
