  This hotel and the proprietor are both absolutely charming. Carinne made us feel as though we were being welcomed into her own home. On arrival she gave us coffee and biscuits and a very helpful explanation of what Ieper had to offer. Our room was private, very quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast which Carinne provides is extensive and includes homebaked bread and pate and a selection of cooke - I can not think of anything we didn't like. Carine , one of the owners is simply a very lovely person. She made us tea as soon as we arrived and spent ages chatting with her. Her chocolate cakes were delicious. Then she showed us to our room - the 'wild' one. I had seen the photos of it on the web site but they didn't do it justice. As soon as Carine left, having shown us how to work everything, we were straight into the bath!!. The snacks and the free mini bar were very welcome. The breakfast

  Seeking a romantic night away for 2, we stayed in Natalie and Pieter’s Ypres B&B early September. Having been totally awe struck by the beauty of Ypres and finding the B&B just 2 minutes walk from the main plaza in a quiet side street, we were equally delighted with both the location and welcome we received at Fields of Gold. The warmest of welcomes with very useful advice on Ypres itself and places to go, eat etc Stunning breakfast feast well worth the money.
