The staff were so nice. They called before we left home and said that they would upgrade us to a Deluxe room when we arrived for the same price. When we got there the room they had booked for us was already taken but we got another room the same and the next morning a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Very nice of them.

Stayed here on our journey out and then on our return. Easy to find location, great value for money, especially the breakfast and meals in the pub. Beds excellent.(Told they had all been renewed) Can't complain about a thing really. Staff very helpful.
We were very happy after discovering that there had been a slightly hick up and found that our booking hadn't been registered leaving bus without a room. The staff were amazing so friendly and without hesitation upgraded us to a unit for the same cost.

Right next door to a good pub that served nice food. A minutes walk further were several other eating options and a new Coles supermarket. Spacious and comfy room.

I took the advice from someone on this site to take my own pillow.
I'm glad I did. The pillows were a bit hard. Not a lot to
complain about :).
Someone else was given the same door key as us and disturbed us in the evening. A security problem had we been out!.

There were tea and coffee facilities, but there was no milk, neither UHT or fresh.
The shower head was somewhat limiting.

The bathroom in Room 11 needs an update.
The TV didn't work, didn't matter we were a very late check in.
The holes in the internal wall! Maintenance really wasn't up to scratch...
There was nothing I didnt like about the hotel.

Would like to have kitchenettes available in rooms, or at least a minimal set of bowls & cutlery, enough to at least prepare a quick cereal breakfast.

Not walking distance to waters
Can be a bit noisy due to so close to bay pub.
Not enough sugar,coffee or milk and the tv well bad reception didn't get to watch it ,I was a little disappoint all round.
Being the local Tavern, which I didn't realise, there was foot traffic and vehicles around midnight.
When waiting to check in, a hotel bar staff member alerted the check-in
staff. We heard the staff member say "well they'll just have to
wait". Not the most welcoming thing to hear! Air
conditioner/heater did not work, despite assistance from staff
(after a second phone call). Driveway is hazardous and would preclude
lowered cars from entering premises.
My adult children are over 190cm. They were too large to fit into the two bunk beds. The room was nothing like the photo. I paid more for that room than I paid for a two bedroom apartment in Ryde 4 weeks prior. I will definitely not recommend this hotel motel to anyone. Extremely disappointed!.
Not a place to enjoy Lake Macquarie from but a good place to spend the night.

Bathroom had mould on ceiling above shower.
Room was way over priced, you could hear everything from rooms either side and out the front of the room and our 30 year old son had to sleep doubled up on a bed that was suitable for midget!.
